  6. Median house size, life expectancy, and chancing of owning just about anything have all increased drastically in the last 50 years. There’s no falling standard of living. People just watch Leave it to Beaver and assume that’s how everyone lived even though the show was about a dad who worked a white collar job in New York.

  7. People should be able to afford a family on minimum wage. People should also be able to afford a family without working at all. People should also be able to live like kings without having to work at all. But believe it or not economics isn’t about what should and shouldn’t be, it’s what works and what doesn’t work.
