  1. People often point to how low the transition regret rate is, but that's because up until very recently we didn't encourage people to transition on a whim. The only people who transitioned were people who had to think very long and hard about it. Obviously you're more likely to regret decisions you make on a whim, which is the whole reason we think long and hard about big decisions (usually).

  2.  @Kalbuir66  But when they kill themselves it's not because they regret transitioning necessarily. Perhaps if they were smarter, they would. But they might simply think that its impossible to be happy, and that they can neither fight nor make peace with their biological sex, so they kill themselves. Or they might not even realize they're war on nature is the source of their misery. Often people don't know what is making them miserable. Teenagers today are stereotyped as angsty and dysfunctional, when for most of human history they were stereotyped as happy go lucky. We blame hormones, when I would reckon its probably because adolescence is an unnatural state (for 99% of human history, adolescence was adulthood), and society is trying to fit a square peg into a round whole.
