  1. When people say the Slippery Slope is a fallacy, point them to hate speech. 20 years ago it would be unthinkable that telling a man he's not a woman would be considered hate speech.

But in fact the worst tyrannies are those who only feel they need a few laws because their laws are so vague and encompassing. For example, almost everyone executed during the French Revolution was convicted under the Law of Suspects which called for the arrest of all “those who, by their conduct, associations, comments, or writings have shown themselves partisans of tyranny or federalism and enemies of liberty."
