  3. When we fund our own people, all its leads to is ingratitude, bitterness, and demands for more and more and more. I lived through both the 2008 recession (where the average Joe got no "stimulus" money) and COVID pandemic (where the average Joe got three stimulus checks, two of which were well after the worst was over), so I've seen this in action.

  12. We know what happens when we fund 'our own countries welfare'. We did it during the COVID pandemic when the average Joe got three stimulus checks in the mail, two after the worst was well over. All it did was lead to rage, bitterness, and demands for more and more and more. At least with foreign aid people are grateful.
