Yet you feel nothing for veterans, even though we've been dressing up as soldiers for as long as Halloween has been a holiday.
150
Anthony Perez Nor did the Native Americans until SJWs started training people to see disrespect and racism everywhere.
107
Anthony Perez What does portraying someone as a bad guy have to do with dressing up as them? We dress up as soldiers, even when the country is at war. We dress up as cops, even though we had two separate shootings against police officers in the last decade. The only reason people see it as offensive to dress up in First Nation garb is because cynical, mean-spirited SJWs didn't put the idea into their head that it was disrespectful.
54
Anthony Perez You're a moron, you can't give any response to the parallels I've drawn.
32
@kyliebonelo7103 You obviously don't know what culture means. Culture can be sacred or mundane or anywhere in between. British people saying "mate" is culture.
8
I'm sure you have zero problem with Renaissance Fairs or Oktoberfest. You probably don't even care about the plethora of "slutty nun" Halloween costumes out there.
5
@valeriemeza-becerra1934 Why aren't cowboys a culture?
5
@rph8704 "Oblivious" meaning they haven't been corrupted by the filthy, diseased, hate-mongering culture of the SJW left that encourages people to see racism in everything.
5
Dude...they're not okay with Thanksgiving and clearly you've been indoctrinated by them. Thanksgiving has as much to do with Native American Genocide as Oktoberfest has to do with the Holocaust. Thanksgiving feasts were a tradition brought over from Europe and used to celebrate all sorts of things, that's why Canada also has Thanksgiving. There was a Thanksgiving feast to celebrate The Mystic Massacre but that was NOT The First Thanksgiving, but people with filthy, diseased hearts have tricked gullible SJWs into believing it was.
5
Soldiers have died in the hundreds of thousands for our freedom and yet they have been Halloween costumes for as long as we've had Halloween. We have two terrorist attacks against cops in the last decade and yet cops are still a popular Halloween costume.
4
When liberals set their filthy, diseased, maggot infested hearts are teaching minorities to see disrespect everywhere.
4
Nor was yellow face or red face or brown face until the SJWs decided it was.
4
@hat7475 Because dressing up in Irish or German clothing regardless of your heritage is acceptable in America. Minorities will always feel like aliens if we treat them different than we treat our own. I will never apologize for treating POCs equally, and anyone who tells me to can go jump in a meat grinder.
3
Don't you dare invoke a pan-human identity when you buy this cultural appropriation bullshit. That's the epitome of hypocrisy.
3
AS A WHITE PERSON I WOULD LIKE TO SAY we don't want you and we apologize to the minorities you've filled with rage, bitterness, and an irrational sense of victimhood so you can virtue signal. It is completely and utterly impossible any Native would find this costume offensive if cynical, mean-spirited SJWs had not trained them to see disrespect and racism everywhere, seeing as dressing up as cops, soldiers, and nuns has been popular for as long as Halloween has been a thing.
3
*Liberals*: Look at us, we have so much compassion and empathy for minorities. *Also liberals*: Let's fill minorities with rage, bitterness, despair, and a constant sense of indignation for political gain.
3
@mayaa6939 I'm sure you have zero problems with Renaissance Fairs though. What's disgusting is you cynical, mean spirited hate mongers trying to turn people against each other.
3
@danielle6086 The point is to show their hypocrisy. The black guy's costume is blatantly racist (not that I'm offended, its all in good fun) yet she knew most of them would focus on hers.
3
Yes it is, on every St. Patrick's Day and Oktoberfest.
3
@angelnichols510 Are Renessiance Fairs racist? Is Oktoberfest racist? Is St. Patrick's Day racist? Go to hell.
3
15 years ago dressing like Kaitlin dressed was non-issue, despite society being so virulently anti-racist that black comedians would frequently joke about how sycophantic white people were. The reason Halloween costumes have become an issue is because liberals have their filthy, diseased hearts set on teaching people to see disrespect where it doesn't exist to fan the flames of racial tension.
2
@hat7475 Black people knew it was offensive when they had sit-ins and drank from "white waterfountains." You can be offensive and egalitarian at the same time.
2
@danielle6086 Only after they got grilled. They all focused on Kaitlin initially.
2
@danielle6086 The Irish Potato famine, the Black Death, Islamic conquest, does it matter? What happened to Asians that compares to the "Native American & POC history"? Yet they're still one of your protected classes.
2
But I'm sure you've never made a peep out slutty nun Halloween costumes, Renaissance Fairs, etc.
2
And when you cater to their hyper-sensitivity, you are exacerbating their pathology. That's why its so important to trigger them whether they like it or not.
2
She messed up by including the black guy. That lends credence to the left's filthy, diseased, hate-mongering rhetoric that wearing traditional clothing from another culture is the same was being a satirical cartoon caricature that exists for people's amusement.
2
It's disrespectful in the same way sit-ins during the Civil Rights Era were disrespectful. Being offended by someone dressing in traditional clothing of someone else's ancestors is sick, filthy, diseased mentality and needs to be beaten out of people by any means necessary. If white people started harassing black people dressed up for Oktoberfest, St. Patrick's Day, or Renessiance Fairs your head would explode from the racism.
2
@paulagarridorios8775 Liberals have never made a peep about sexy nun Halloween costumes, which takes a religious symbol of chastity and eroticizes. They don't give a shit about respecting people culture or religion, they just want to fan racial fires.
2
Well I'm offended by all the people who think Kaitlin is dressing up as another race because literally tens of thousands of white people "went native" and assimilated into the First Nations.
2
Every Oktoberfest and St. Patrick's Day people dress like this and you are silent. Who's the real racist here?
2
They realize it.
2
Pure...that's why I love working with children. They haven't been polluted with the cynical, mean-spirited outlook of the left.
2
@solothil4105 I don't care, you can disrespect someone's career, yet no one sees soldier costumes as disrespectful.
2
I'm sure 99% of Native Americans were not uncomfortable with these kind of costumes until they started reading tumblr or getting their liberal arts degree. Simply telling someone something is offensive will make them perceive it that way. That's why in some cultures its rude to finish everything on your plate, and in others its rude not to finish everything that's on your plate.
1
No one cares that we've been dressing up our kids as soldiers for Halloween for as long as Halloween has been a thing, you willfully blind piece of shit. The only reason people see this as disrespectful is because asshats like you put the seed in their head that it was disrespectful. 10, or even 5 years ago no one would blink at Kaitlin's costume.
1
You aren't ignorant, you are willfully blind. We live in a culture where people dress up as cops, soldiers, and nuns for Halloween and no one bats an eye. Where people wear 'culture as a costume' at Renassiance Fairs and Oktoberfest and no one in the entire world objects.
1
So if I dress up as a soldier for Halloween, is that stolen valor?
1
@towersl616 A person's culture is not your Halloween costume, but their profession is? That doesn't make a damn bit of sense and you know it. Also, anyone can become part of a culture too, it's called assimilation. It's your race that you can't change. Race is not culture, although the idea they are inseparable is basically the definition of racism.
1
@towersl616 And there's a huge difference between dressing up as a soldier on Halloween and joining the army. What's your point?
1
Why, because you said so? The concept of "red face" and "yellow face" didn't exist in public lexicon until a few years ago, thanks to SJWs.
1
The logic in your last paragraph is BRUTALLY racist. It's no better than saying a brown guy can't dress up as Uncle Sam because "his people" did 9/11, or someone of Japanese heritage can't dress up as US GI because "his people" bombed Pearl Harbor. Go tell a Japanese American girl she can't dress as Mulan because "her people" killed 16 million Chinese non-combatants in Manchuria and gutted pregnant women alive. See how that goes.
1
Also being lectured about being sensitive to death and suffering by a guy who calls himself Stalin is pretty ironic.
1
Culture is a costume every St. Patrick's Day and Oktoberfest.
1
A few years ago no one would fucking blink at a costume like this, the same way no one still blinks at Irish, German, Dutch, or French Halloween costumes. Why does everyone act like they forget this?
1
Thousands of white people retreated from their societies to assimilate with Native American tribes as well, so...
1
@damieneisenhower2497 I'm triggered by people dividing the races. You are triggered by Halloween costumes. Big difference.
1
@damieneisenhower2497 So segregation isn't divisive? Saying I can't wear another race's clothing because I taint it with my whiteness is no different than saying I can't use another race's waterfountain because I taint it with my blackness. Besides, Trump would have never been elected if not for the anti-white mania of 2014 - 2016. You can't seriously believe Trump, you believe is a total baffoon, could have changed the country's culture and rode that change all the way to the White House on his own.
1
Joel Patrick's act was a mistake. You are legitimizing their view that dressing up in cultural clothing is the same as presenting a racist caricature. You should have instead dressed him in standard Renaissance Fair attire, that would be a proper parallel.
1
My culture is a costume every time there is a Renaissance Fair, an Oktoberfest, or a St. Patrick's Day you hate mongering maggot.
