  2. Food comes in three tiers of expense: Healthy but not tasty. (carrots, bread, pasta, potatos, rice and beans). Cheapest. Unhealthy but tasty. (fried food, junk food). Healthy and tasty. (steak, fancy pastas, etc.). Most expensive. It's when your population is rich enough to afford the first two tiers but not the final tiers that they become obese.
