  1. This is a lie propagated by people with filthy, diseased hearts. The Mystic Massacre was indeed commemorated with a Thanksgiving feast, but it was not the first Thanksgiving. What we call "The First Thanksgiving" was in 1621, and is documented by Edward Winslow and William Bradford, but even that wasn't really the first Thanksgiving, as Thanksgiving feasts were a Protestant tradition brought over to the New World. A Thanksgiving feast was held in England in 1588 to celebrate the defeat of the Spanish armada. It's also really ironic to chant "Who's land, our land" considered the Mystic Massacre happened because the Pequot invaded Wampanog land and the pilgrims came to the aid of the Wampanog.
