Seeing this guy makes me angry. We're destroying the souls of young adults through over indulgence, because we expect maturity to just sprout up like armpit hair. It doesn't. You will be a child for along as the world allows you to be one.

@charlieann456 Yeah, everyone here is crying about how people can't afford to live on their own, like its some kind of basic human right. But up until, like, 15 years ago, it was just expected you'd have a roommate when you first moved out. My mom had 3 roommates and a mushroom in the bathroom in her first apartment. Look at the show Friends, aren't they all in their late 20s but have roommates?

I was living at home at 27 but I hated myself for it. The real problem was that I just kept trying to get a web development job but was never ever good enough for it. Now after almost ten years chasing that dream, I work in security and I'm doing fine on my own.

Maturity doesn't just sprout up like armpit hair. You are going to be immature for as long as society allows you to be.

Overindulgence is child abuse.

I would have lived like this forever, except that I knew teh wimmenz would find me vile if I did. And, to be fair, I wouldn't trust a woman who lived like this because I'd expect her to be too immature to handle family life. But if you're asexual and have no intentional of raising a family, then sure, why not? The world would be a better place with more efficient use of space.

@jntdhome He doesn't look old to me. I would peg him as 35.

@GDoggy-em2xc This idea that living in your own place is some kind of basic human right is very, very new. It used to be expected your first apartment would include a roommate. If you can't live on your own because you're too much of an introvert, fine. But don't blame the market.

People are only as bad as the world allows them to be.
