The biggest medical issue amongst the poor in the United States is obesity.

I'm a Republican and I salute the moral courage of these politicians. If they spent this money on Americans it would just lead to rage, bitterness, and demands for more and more. We know this because of all those "stimulus" checks we received during COVID (the first one was understandable, the last two were just pointless free money because the worst was over). On the other hand, this money really could really make a difference for countries like Ukraine, Taiwan, and Israel. They chose to do what's right over what's fashionable.

No amount of "help" for the American people will ever lead to gratitude. We spend 6 trillion on our own citizens every year. I remember during the 2008 economic crash, the average Joe got no "stimulus" checks in the mail, and no one said anything. Then during COVID we got three, two of which were well after the worst was over, and all it led to was rage, bitterness, ingratitude, and demands for more and more.
2
If they gave that money to the American people instead, you wouldn't show an ounce of gratitude. I know because I remember those "stimulus" we got during the COVID days.
2
We spend 6 trillion a year. This is a drop in the bucket, and yet it could make a real difference in the world. If they gave this 95 billion to Americans instead you wouldn't show a crumb of gratitude.
2
That's because of your state's bad government. Here in Austin I can get a doubled cheese burger and fries at McDonalds for under 7 dollars.

"Waaah, what about the American people!" the commenters say. I remember the COVID years. The government gave us three "stimulus" payments (euphemism for "free money for no particular reason"), two of which were after the worst was over. All it led to was rage, bitterness, ingratitude, and demand for more and more. The US spends 6 trillion on its own people every year. If that 95 billion went to Americans, you would not show a spec of gratitude. At least the Israelis, Ukranians, and Taiwanese will.

The US spends 6 trillion on its own people every year. If the US spent this money on Americans you wouldn't have the slightest gratitude. You're just raging that we helped our allies.
1
The people who hate America are the former Democrats who turned into Republicans when Trump started running.
1
Good question, if we live in such a terrible country where people are struggling so much, why are tens of millions of people risking their lives to get here?
1
The US spends 6 trillion on its own people every year. You wouldn't show a drop of gratitude if we added another 95 billion to that sum. At least Taiwan, Israel, and Ukraine will.
1
Because this money could really make a difference in those countries, but would lead to nothing but rage, ingratitude, and demands for more if it were spent in America. We know this from the ridiculous sums the government forked over during COVID and called it "stimulus."
1
Yes, I'm sure if we just spent another 95 billion on our people poverty would be solved. 6 trillion every year doesn't do it, but if we would fork over another 2% of that everything would be hunky-dory.
1
The government taxes us 6 trillion every year. This is nothing.
1
We spend 6 trillion on our own people every year. If we spent this on Americans, no one would be showing a spec of gratitude. Just rage, bitterness, and demands for more. On the other hand in places like Taiwan and Ukraine and Israel this really makes a difference.
1
You can't seriously believe if the government just added 95 billion to the 6 trillion we already spend on our people every year, those issues would be solved. On the other hand, this really has a chance of changing the course of history for our allies.
1
Right because I'm sure we're just 95 billion dollars away from solving all those issues. 6 trillion isn't enough, but add another 95 billion and there's no more homelessness in the US.
1
Ummm, really? Because we spend 6 trillion a year on our own people.
1
We did that during the COVID years. All it did was lead to rage, ingratitude, bitterness, and demands for more and more. And then we whined about the inflation it caused afterwards. We spend 6 trillion on our people every year. If they spent this money on Americans you wouldn't show one ounce of gratitude.
1
We spend 6 trillion a year on our own people. If that 95 billion went to Americans you wouldn't show a single drop of gratitute.

Lol compare the comments on this video to the Fox News video. Republicans are more supportive of this than Democrats.
1
The US government spends 6 trillion on us every year.
1
The American people get 6 trillion dollars every year.
1
You're the same people who cry when we do nothing like in the case of Rwanda.
1
I am. This is money that could make a real difference in people's lives. Give this to Americans and it will just lead to rage, bitterness, ingratitude, and demands for more. I know because I lived through the COVID years and didn't see any gratitude for the "stimulus" payments we recieved (the first one was reasonable, the next two were just pointless free money after the worst was over).
1
The US spends 6 trillion on its own people every year. If that money went to the average American you wouldn't show a spec of gratitude. If they gave this 95 billion dollars to Americans, you wouldn't show a spec of gratitude. Afterall, we already spend 6 trillion on our people every year and still complain about how stingy the government is. On the other hand, this makes a real difference to the people of Israel, Taiwan, and Ukraine.
1
Which is nothing. We spend 6 trillion on our own people every year.
1
Real Americans support this bill. Why? The people raging that its not going to the American people wouldn't show a speck of gratitude if it did. They are just mad our allies are getting money.
1
To prevent the spread of Islamic Extremism and Chinese Communism.
1
This country spends 6 trillion a year on you and yet you cry about 95 billion in foreign aid.
1
We know you do. When you say "America First" you really mean "I want to see our allies die so we can be next".
