Then add to the fact the West didn't intervene in Syria until years after their civil war broke out, and we can confidently say the overwhelming of those people were killed by people with the same ideology as the 9/11 hijackers.

Also, the vast majority of those Iraqis were killed by people with ideals very similar to the 9/11 hijackers (87% of civilians in Iraq were not killed by coalition forces according to Iraq Body Count and as someone who followed the war closely I think that's an understatement). Bush was trying to stop them, you wanted to appease them and hand Iraq over to them and blame their atrocities on their Western enemies. Terrorists in Iraq knew people like you would blame America for their crimes, that's why they committed so much senseless violence, like the July Soccer Bombings which seemed to target no particular sect.

  40. An April 2004 Gallup Poll showed Iraqis believed the invasion was "worth it" for getting rid of Saddam by a margin of more than 2 to 1. Then in the next few years they started mass murdering each other in sectarian warfare and blamed Americans. Bush's crime was not knowing better than Muslims what was best for Muslims.
