They're not bringing their problems here because the problem is the government, not the people. Venezuela isn't a country that lacks skilled and educated laborers, its a country that can't put them to good use.

America has 325 million people. No matter how good we make things here there will always be homeless and people "struggling to buy food, pay their public service, pay rent."

I wish people like you could spend 2 minutes in a typical country, somewhere right in the middle of the HDI like Ecuador or Fiji or Uzbekistan, and see what a country with real poverty and "problems" looks like.

People forget Venezuela isn't like the Congo where the population is largely uneducated and lacks skills necessary for a functioning economy. Venezuela was a functioning economy ten years ago. Many of the people fleeing are likely doctors, lawyers, engineers, computer programmers. They're not going to "bring their problems here" because the problem is simply the government. It's wrong to assume they're all going to come here and become welfare queens.

A loaf of bread costs less than what the most poorly paid laborer in America makes in 20 minutes. People like you should be sent to Mali and forced to explain your plight to someone living in a mud hut.

@CandiceMMartinez Venezuelans are fleeing because their country sucks right now. Are we sure these people are going to become welfare hounds if they come here? Some of the fleeing could easily be doctors, computer programmers, engineers, etc.

Venezuela is where it is today because their government decided to "work for the people."
