  3. Slavery is horrible, but child labor itself is a necessity in impoverished economies. America didn’t outlaw child labor until the 1930s, but because society had become more prosperous it was already practically gone before that. It’s easy to sit back and judge from our privileged and cushy existences but banning child labor can increase hunger and child prostitution.
