  7. There's nothing beautiful about little black girls being taught racial tribalism before their ABCs. The last six Disney female leads (Jasmine, Mulan, Mei, Mirabel, Moana, and Raya) have been POCs, but if little white girls rejoiced Ariel "looked like them" you'd puke your guts out and use the videos to justify CRT. And don't give me that crap that its because they never see someone who looks like them on screen. A study published by no less than NPR a couple of years ago showed African Americans are already over-represented on screen. This is about erasing white people, plain and simple.

Even growing up, I was inundated with black leads in children's entertainment: Little Bill, Reading Rainbow, The Famous Jet Jackson, Smart Guy, That's So Raven, The Proud Family, etc. Yet I'm supposed to believe we need a black Ariel because little black girls never see someone who looks like them on screen? I don't buy that for a second.

Disney wouldn't even cast anyone but African Americans to play freaking talking animals in The Lion King remake, yet they cast a black girl to play Ariel? If her hair color was going to be accurate, why not her skin color. This was an act of racial spite, pure and simple.
