  3.  @kimobrien.  No, fascists, who were proud anti-capitalists, started the Second World War. And the deaths from the atom bombs were a drop in the bucket compared to how many the fascists killed. Why on God's green Earth would capitalists want people unemployed!? You can't make many off an unemployed man's labor and an unemployed man has nothing to lose by destroying your business. Why the hell would capitalists want you to pay more for education!? Educated employees make the best workers! Are you even trying to make sense here? Business owners want to make as much money as possible, but they can't disregard the wants of customers and employees or they lose one or both to the competition. Walmart, the most evil greedy corporation ever, runs a profit margin of a whopping 1.1%. When workers are paid minimum wage, its because consumers like you demand cheaper prices on their goods, and since mega-corporations run very slim profit margins the cost of production is tied almost perfectly to the cost of labor. State owned businesses don't have to worry about this, because they'll get their money no matter what through taxation. You judge business owners for being self-interested, yet I doubt you've ever given a cent to the barefoot Africans desiring clean drinking water and basic vaccinations for their children. I've donated thousands to charity during my life time. But I had to cut back because the rage I felt at the hypocrisy of Western progressives/socialists started to consume me.

  31.  @KhanBalkan  You're arguing for a socialism that never happens and against a fake strawman "capitalism" that no one supports. Saying capitalism is any system that makes people richer than other people is as stupid as saying socialism is anything that creates economic disaster and widespread poverty. You're arguing for something that will never happen against something no one supports. You might as well be talking to a wall but maybe that's fitting because a wall would be more in your intellectual league. "Exploitation" simply means offering someone a better alternative to whatever they currently have. Before businesses started "exploiting" third world countries, the kids working in factories were working as subsistence farmers and child prostitutes. While the median household income in India and China is not high, it's much higher than that in almost any African country. Why? Because no one is "exploiting" Africa because its very economically xenophobic and unfriendly to foreign businesses. 30 years ago India and China were just as poor as Africa. Capitalism lifts people out of poverty because it becomes a game of one-up-manship. Someone is making $1.00 a day at the family farm, so Nike offers them $1.50 a day to work in the factory. Then another company sets up shop and offers them $2.00 a day. So Nike has to compete and offers them $2.50. Etc. It's a slow process but if you had your way they would be stuck with that $1.00 a day because the alternative would be "exploitation". Competition forces the rich to care about the workers, because if they don't their workers will go over to someone else. Child labor was on its way out in the US before the government legislated against it. Minimum wage is unnecessary because where I live its $7.25 and yet even Walmart pays $12.00. The one and only regulation capitalism needs is anti-trust laws to prevent monopolies which prevent competition and the aforementioned one-up-manship.
