I think private business should have the right to hire who they want, no matter how stupid their reasons, just like you can decide who enters your house no matter how stupid the reason. But at least they're consistent.

@fredcheng2736 Then you should have spoken up when Westerners were called horrible people to saying the same thing. Not that I agree with them entirely, but you know the old allegory about Hitler coming for the Jews? The one with "I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew"? It applies here.

A study by no less than the Washington Post showed police are more likely to shoot a white suspect during arrest than a black one, and yes, that's controlling for the amount of police interaction.

@DjBoogyman514 If the intent was even to kill George Floyd (he said "I can't breathe" even before they put the knee on his neck), there's no reason to assume racism. Derek Chauvin knew Floyd personally, it could have easily been personal. And one of the police officers convicted of abetting the murder was black.
