A $15 would apply to even the poorest parts of the country. A $15 minimum wage in Detroit is like a $45 minimum wage in Seattle. Once Seattle proves it can handle a $45 minimum wage we'll talk.

Do you think the price of rent just falls out of the sky!? It's based on the price of people who are bidding against you for the property! The highest the minimum wage, the higher the minimum rent.

Did you never notice the places that pay the lowest wages (7/11, McDonalds, Walmart) offer the cheapest goods and services? And that the places with the highest wages (Manhattan, for instance) have the highest cost of living?

Have you never noticed the places that offer the cheapest goods and services (McDonalds, 7/11, Walmart) also pay the lowest wages, and that the places with the highest wages (Manhattan, Beverly Hills, Silicon Valley) have the highest cost of living? Second, what is "living" exactly? In 1950 the life expectancy was 65, the average family spent 30% of their income on food, and the median house size was less than half what is today. Yet we say those were "the good old days" when everyone could make ends meet. If $15 became the new minimum wage, there's no way you'd call it a "living wage."

Of the top 5 states of minimum wage (DC, Washington, Massachusetts, California, New York), every single one has above average unemployment and above average homelessness.

Maybe your spoiled ass should spend 1 minute amongst three billion people who make $2.50 or less day. Christ alive, if America is so horrible, why do we have to build a wall to keep people out, and the border of a country that ITSELF has to build a wall on its southern border (with Guatemala) to keep people out, and then get accused of violating humans rights for doing so.

If you say "OMG COST OF LIVINGZ!!!"...Well, okay, why is the cost of living more expensive in America? If you can answer that, you know why minimum wage is BS.

No, the working class deserves to never work a day in their lives and live like kings. Guess what? Economics is about what works and what doesn't work, not what people "deserve." @dylanw5142 One McDonalds, a very busy one no doubt, pays its employees $22 an hour. Not the whole damn chain. Your idols in Scandinavia don't even have minimum wages.
