@nishobit.1293 And yet she still had allowed it to happen, so isn't that a good thing?

@charg1nmalaz0r51 I don't know, but Nishobi was putting agency on the Queen, so I followed her line of reasoning.

In the end, the only thing Queen Elizabeth has to do with British colonialism is that they are both British. They simply hate Great Britian. Of course they bare zero resentment towards Turkey, Japan, etc. (any nation was a colonial power if you go back far enough)

The left is deadset on this idea that white people are born with a unique, biological predisposition to evil. They refuse to accept things like colonialism and slavery were basically human universals for 99% of human history.

If she's an oppressor for ruling during the last few years of colonialism, Lincoln is an oppressor for ruling during the last few years of slavery.
1
She reigned during the last few years of decolonialism. Is the left going to cancel Lincoln next because he reigned through the last few years of American slavery?
1
Peel back the flim-flam and its just this: 1) The Queen represents British statehood 2) They hate Britain. No reason they won't come for the British anthem, or the British flag next. Of course, they couldn't care less about the countless other empires and atrocities throughout human history, at least not the ones perpetrated by darker skinned people.

The monarchs in Britain are figureheads. I thought everyone knew this.
1
This is absolutely ridiculous. First off, we know none of these people had a problem with Obama bowing to the Emperor of Japan. Second, Queen Elizabeth reigned (as a figurehead with no political power) during the last few years of *decolonialism*. What next, is Lincoln a symbol of American slavery because he reigned during the last few years of slavery?
1
The left: White people are born with a unique, biological predisposition to evil, so only they have a bloody history and only symbols of their nations can be offensive. The Mfecane, Genocide of the Dzunghar, Arab Slave Trade, Mongol Empire, Islamic Conquest, Imperial Japan, Comancheria, the Aztecs: Am I a joke to you? The left: I'm just going to pretend I didn't see that...

Every nation has a "dodgy" past, its just some have the decency to admit it, and in a perverse inversion of karma those nations become hated by the world.

Why does she represent imperialism? She came to power during the last few years of decolonialism. You might as well label everything that represents the British nation (flag, anthem) a symbol of imperialism. And if you're going to do that, why stop at Britain. Turkey had an empire. Japan. China. Mongolia. Egypt. etc.
1
@phoenix2225 So where is the mass immigration to Turkey, Japan, all the world's other colonial empires?
1
@phoenix2225 So you've never heard of the Ottoman and Japanese Empires?
1
What does she stand for exactly, British statehood?
1
How did the monarchy create any of those things, and why is Queen Elizabeth responsible for the sins of her ancestors.
1
I thought colonialism was a huge economic boon for Europe, so why would decolonialism help their financial situation?
1
Obama bows to Saudi King (a man with real power in a nation that didn't outlaw slavery until 1960) and the Emperor of Japan and the left doesn't bat an eye lash. Yet they have a problem with honoring Queen Elizabeth. I think we can all smell what's going on here...
