My parents paid for my college education. My mom wanted me to go for really snooty reasons, and I was young and stupid so I thought it was how I would "find myself." But what I found is what you like studying doesn't reflect on what you'd like doing. I realized very early on college was a bane on society, but people dismissed my opinions as the rantings of an ungrateful spoiled brat. I'm so glad people are now coming around to my way of seeing things.

Good! College has been one of the greatest blights on society. We are drowning in debt yet college encourages us to put off being productive citizens for four years just to get a leg up on the other poor schmuck who didn't.

If you go to college to get a degree that doesn't help you do your job, just makes you look better than the other poor schmuck who doesn't have a degree, the cold hard truth is that's no better than making money through gambling theft. Yes, I said it. It's a zero-sum way of getting ahead, that only helps you in so much as it hurts someone else. I was going to draw a parallel with gambling at first but the difference is when you beat someone in gambling, they agreed to play the game. People competing with college grads for a job didn't agree to play the game.

America was ranked number #1 in the World Giving Index 4 out of the 9 years they did their studies. The problem is O'Sullivan's Law. Everything that's not explicitly rightwing becomes leftwing, and the leftwing ruins everything.
