The US didn't destroy Iraq, people like you did. According to Iraq Body Count, about 88% of civilians killed in Iraq were killed by "insurgents, militia, and terrorists." By blaming America for the atrocities of people our troops were there to kill and capture, you created a perverse incentive and a self-perpetuating snowball effect. Insurgent factions committed so much senseless violence in large part because they knew people like you would blame their Western enemies, and make their atrocities propaganda victories. How else do you explain such bizarre events as the July Soccer Bombings, which by the media's own admission seem to target no particular group and were just to "get attention"?
Terrorists would blow up Iraqi civilians. Iraqis would blame America, take up arms against Americans and the Iraqi Army and Iraqi Police, which of course made it more difficult for these groups to do their job. Then terrorists would blow up more people. The cycle would repeat ad infinitum. The cycle of violence only stopped during the Anbar Awakening, when the Iraqi people finally admitted who was really killing them and started fighting the likes of Al Qaeda instead of just blaming Americans for all the death and destruction.

It was people like him who were the reason so many people died in Iraq in the first place. Iraq Body Count reports about 88% of people killed in Iraq were killed by "insurgents, militia, and terrorists." By blaming America for their atrocities, every murder insurgent factions committed become their propaganda victory. How else do you explain such bizarre events as the July Soccer Bombings, which seemed to target no one in particular and were just to "get attention."
Terrorists would blow up Iraqis. Iraqis would blame America, the Iraqi Army, and the Iraqi Police. These groups, who were meant to hunt and kill terrorists, now had a much more difficult job because people were shooting at them. This made it easier for the terrorists to terrorize, so they'd blow up more Iraqis. Which meant more Iraqis angry at Americans. And the cycle would repeat ad infinitum.
That's why peace never came to Iraq until the Anbar Awakening, when the Iraqis finally admitted who was really killing them and turn their guns on them, rather than blaming America for all the violence like GDF is doing.

No, we let them vote so they could make their own law and order. Crying that someone is forcing their lifestyle on you by giving you democracy is like crying someone is forcing their diet on you by giving a choice of what to have for lunch.
When the war began, Iraqis believed overthrowing Saddam was worth by a margin of 2 to 1 (src: Gallup April 2004 poll), and only 17% approved of attacks on coalition forces (src: Gallup April 2004 poll), and most Iraqis wanted the US to stay until elections were established (src: Global Policy June 2004 survey). It wasn't until 2006, when sectarian violence started kicking into high gear that Iraqis changed their tune. They mass murdered each other, blamed Americans, and pretended they never wanted to be liberated. Of course, blaming America could only get them so far, and after two years of terrible violence they finally admitted it was the likes of Al Qaeda in Iraq killing them, not Americans, and half of the insurgents switched sides in an event called the Anbar Awakening, which, in addition to Shi'ite insurgent warlord's cease fire, FINALLY brought peace to Iraq and caused Iraqi deaths to fall by 80%.
