A white man entered a safe space. A black man said: "Only people of color are allowed here." The white man man stood up and turned around saying: "Listen sir... when I was born, I was pink. When I grew up, I was white. When I'm sick, I'm green. When I go in the sun, I turn red. When I'm cold, I'm blue. When I die, I turn purple. But you sir... When you're born, you're black. When you grow up, you're black. When you're sick, you're black. When you go to the sun, you're black. When you're cold, you're black. When you die, you're black. And you have the nerve to say I'm not a person of color?!"

Just an hour ago I read an article on Ed Weekly that said white teachers should be forced "to take classes such as African studies, African-American studies, Latinx studies, Caribbean studies, Chicana/o studies, Asian and Southeast Asian studies, and Native American studies" before teaching 'students of color.'
So the races are so fundamentally different we need to take college courses before interacting with each other? This implies the difference between black people and white people are on par with the differences between teaching 15 year olds and 5 years olds. How can you accept the premises of these woke people and not support segregation!?
The article then goes on to say:
"There also needs to be a push to recruit future teachers of color as early as high school, pay for their college education, and mentor them when they enter the classroom. Research consistently shows that teachers of color have higher expectations of students of color, which leads to more students of color referred to gifted programs. Moreover, having a teacher of color helps students confront issues of racism."
If it's so significant when the race of the teacher matches the race of the student, why not repeal Brown vs. Board of Education? Have blacks teach blacks, and whites teach whites, like the good old days.

Anyone who's old enough to remember what politics were like during the Bush administration knows how indistinguishable they are.
"The corporations are running things now, so it's not going to make much difference who's in there, but McCain would be much worse. He's a warmonger. He's a scary, scary person--more dangerous than Bush." - Kurt Vonnegat
"I give Obama credit, he seems to have stuck to his guns as far as pulling the troops out of Iraq. He's a very intelligent man, an excellent speaker and has charisma. John McCain offers none of that." - Michael Moore
"Here, I see a white man, who is almost dead, who declares he wants to fight endless wars around the globe to make the world safe for [...]capitalist exploitation[...] basically a continuation of the last eight years of Emperor Bush." - Noam Chomsky
Actually I lied, those were from Tom Metzger, Eric Gliebe, and Rocky Suhadya respectively.
