@renny3816 I don't have any hatred towards gays but it seems like the opposite to me. Society agreed to leave you alone, but now you won't leave society alone. You demand an endless stream of validation: "Why isn't Luca gay? Why isn't Raya gay? Let's make every character bi so every RPG can be an LGBT playground!" No one has been more celebrated in American history than the LGBT community. 6 months later and some corporations still haven't taken down their rainbow "Pride Month" logos, and I can't go two feet in Austin without bumping into another rainbow flag. Even football "is gay" now.

This comment section is a little sad because it shows Western society has no concept of tolerance: -The left doesn't believe in tolerance because they think you have to go love and embrace everything other people do. As Mr. Garrison said "You tolerate a crying child on airplane, that doesn't mean it still can't p*ss you off." -The right doesn't believe in tolerance because they believe that if something is disgusting we have the right to make it illegal. Tolerance is such a simple, fundamental Western value. Why does almost no one truly embrace it?

You need to look up Sam Brinton. This aged very very well.

Women show 100X as much skin as men on a regular basis and they complain about how society "oversexualizes" the female body. Funny how the people with the oversexualized bodies are so much more comfortable showing skin. I thought it worked the other way around.

@francescocarta6465 I just read an article in "Men's Health" promoting polyamory less than two hours ago.

@nic8671 To be fair, it's not like there aren't laws regarding cruelty to animals in the meat industry. The Humane Slaughter Act for instance.
2
I'm fairly certain it already is legal, and has been since forever. You can still get thrown in jail if for it if they determine it falls under "animal cruelty."
2
Argonians were hot in the Oblivion, it's only beastiality if you bang the Morrowind or Skyrim versions.
2
I'm pretty sure it's not illegal, actually, but you can be prosecuted under animal cruelty laws in some cases.
2
@chronosschiron To be fair, if you're, ahem, submissive during the encounter they have a choice.

@renny3816 Dude, all I see is celebration and sycophantry towards the LGBT community. Rainbow flags are everywhere and I see the rainbow pattern in most random and non-sensical places. 6 months after "Pride Month" and some corporations still have their rainbow logos up. That never happened with Black History Month or the Fourth of July.
2
I'm pretty sure it is legal (though in some cases it can be prosecuted as animal cruelty). Honestly, if it's not cruel to the animal, why shouldn't it be? It's extremely disgusting but the law doesn't throw me in jail if I eat chalk and sawdust because I have a bad case of Pica. Being gross shouldn't be a crime.
2
How's it a strawman? Because MTV and your favorite band made homosexuality fashionable, but didn't tell you to love beastiality?

@maxkho00 There are laws against animal cruelty, though. So while "animals can't consent" isn't a great argument, we don't have free reign over them either. Factory farm conditions can seem horrible, but we have to remember animals are simpler creatures than us. For example, while no one thinks its cruel to keep a baby in a crib for months on end, it would be unfathomably cruel to keep an adult in the same conditions. Laws like the "Humane Slaughter Act" exist to provide farm animals with some degree of mercy from society.

I'm fairly certain beastiality already is legal. People need to learn what "tolerance" is. Tolerance means you hate something, but are still not willing to hurt people over it. The left doesn't believe in tolerance because they think you have to love everything. The right doesn't believe in tolerance because they think it's ethical to make laws banning certain behavior simply because its gross.

@wildrice8199 So is letting animals have sex with each other abusive? Are they simultaneously raping each other?
1
With Sam Brinton hired by the Biden administration this aged very very well.
1
@venth6 How do we know this?
1
Incest is going to be the last domino to fall, because they associate it with Republicans.
1
I actually looked up the history of this and blew my mind. We are actually moving in the opposite direction you'd expect.
1
Sam Brinton wants a word with you.

To be fair, people being "born gay" is much more plausible because the encoding to be attracted to both sexes exists in the human species. Just as rare genetic anomalies can cause someone to be intersex and inherit parts that don't match their sex, I imagine a man could "accidentally" inherit his mother's attraction to men.
1
It was hateful talk like that that got society skiing down the slippery slope so eagerly.
1
@ernuldieuc7736 Look up the new guy Biden hired. I think Sam Briston is his name.
1
It should be legal. Being gross should not be a crime. The problem is that we'll soon be forced to constantly validate the zoophiliacs sexual attractions.
1
@hello-sz7hp Honestly, people who say they believe in liberty but won't let you bang an animal because it's gross are like the people who say "I believe in free speech but not hate speech." What's so messed up about our society is no one really believes in tolerance, despite that we proclaim that as the West's greatest value. Nothing is tolerate in our society, its either celebrated (homosexuality, polyamory, transgenderism) or banned (incest, beastiality, etc).

FFS carrots don't have feelings. That's why we call people who have lost all consciousness *vegetables*.
1
@joshblack4291 Plants aren't sentient. They are not alive in any ethically meaningful sense. When a human loses all brain activity they are considered legally dead. Plants never have brain activity to begin with.
1
@DzeeraksRe When do plants respond to stimulus in a way that would resemble a human responding to pain? Never.
1
Only if you're female.
1
Because of their limited intelligence, or because they can't communicate with us? In the latter case, I think its possible to get consent from a horse when you're, ahem, the submissive one. In the former case, this is really dicey territory, because no one would say that you are engaging in animal cruelty by letting animals mate with each other.
1
@hexcodeff6624 Though I agree with you on sexuality, you are wrong on "child labor." When Bangladesh (I think it was) banned child labor, child prostitution skyrocketed. Children work in those factories so they and their families can eat. The work their because their alternative is worse and you are not doing them any favors relegating them to that worse alternative. Child labor in the third world is a reflection of economic necessity. In the US child labor was not outlawed until 1938 but by then it had almost disappeared on its own because it was no longer necessary.

I just looked up the history of beastiality legality on wikipedia. It will blow your mind, and not in the way you think.
