  1. It always bugs me how many people who can’t comprehend someone daring to change the definition of woman are White Knights for gay ‘marriage’. It’s not a perfect parallel, but if a union between a man and a woman can be redefined to include a union between two men, why can’t ‘woman’ itself be redefined to include men.

  3. Every word is ‘a man-made thing’. Matt’s issue isn’t the action of two men getting toghether, it’s calling said action a marriage.

  4. When marriage began, there were different legal rights/obligations for the bride and groom.. For example a man was legally obligated to provide for his wife. But the ERA was passed in the 1950s. From then on I think "marriage" became basically a meaningless. The government should simply offer Civil Unions and they shouldn't even be seen as inherently sexual. What if I have a best friend I want to visit in the emergency room?
