  1. Most UN Peacekeepers are soldiers from poor countries. (Many of them join the military through conscription or because of poverty.) Countries participating in UN missions receive fixed amount of deployment stipend per soldier. They lack selection, training, and equipment. They are even in regions they have no knowledge of.
