  1. Travelling is way different from living and working in a local setting. The fact that she is fluent in Korean language and comprehends Korean social values and norms is why she knows instinctively how things will be for her children. I suspect Koreans can tolerate foreigners who become fluent in Korean. They can tolerate overseas Koreans who aren't culturally Korean. But the Muslim component is completely alien.
