  1. It's the same in Japan too, where Apple has a about 50% smartphone market share. Some iPhones have become more expensive than latest laptops, so unless one absolutely needs the latest and most powerful iPhone for business reasons, people are holding on to their older phones for years. I think Apple has priced themselves out of the mainstream mass-market. We can get a reliable Android smartphone for 1/3 of the cost.

  2. I didn't realize they lost money in both 2022 and 2023. Considering how much orders they have and how long airlines are made to wait, it's rather surprising that they're still losing money.

  3. US automakers have to pay US salaries. And Chinese carmakers use really cheap components. If US automakers compromised on quality and safety like the Chinese, they would be constantly recalling their vehicles. Chinese cars are cheap for a reason.
