  1. Poor Belarus is monkey in the middle. Belarus is dependent on Russia in many ways including natural gas, but I doubt they're stupid enough to start a war with Ukraine. Unlike Ukrainians, they know Belarus can only survive by staying as a buffer state between NATO and Russia. I suspect most Belarusians fail to understand why Russians and Ukrainians are competing to become rulers of rubble. The overwhelming majority won't agree in getting dragged into this fruitless conflict. This war will negatively impact both Ukraine and Russia for decades.
