  1. @@ironthreads7 Russian soldiers are already stationed in Belarus. However, Russia does need an independent Belarus (and Ukraine) to be a buffer-zone between Russia and NATO. That's the entire reason for the war, and is why Putin tried to overthrow the current Ukrainian regime (who has a strong preference of joining both EU and NATO).
