The battery quality or overall design was so problematic GM had to stop Bolt production for nearly a year. The main mistake of this CEO was she misread the direction of the market. She focused on BEVs and not on hybrids. GM isn't the only company that overestimated BEV demand. Ford, VW, Stellantis, and Mercedes are all pushing back BEV targets, investments, and production.
