  1.  @Josh-ql2np  Please leave Japan out of this argument. We don't wish to be caught in between the Saudis and Americans. But I understand the reason why Saudis desire an air-conditioned indoor city, like a man-made colony on mars. If I'm not mistaken, the old/ancient architecture with wind catching roofs (in Egypt) were designed so that their building were underground. If I were designing the city, I would be building an underground cave city in the mountains (instead of an artificial ski resort.)
