  4. I don't agree with you last sentence. Most people who spend a few years in Russia come back as "Russophobes", regardless of their previous convictions. He actually lived in an extraterritorial embassy building and most what he knows about Russia comes from RossTV.

  5. So this guy supports his assessment of putin on putin's opinion on putin from a book that putin himself wrote about putin. Brilliant. BTW "extraordinally skilled KGB officer" is bollox, mister. Putin never worked as an operational agent, during his service in the GDR he was more like a clerk. And if you don't even mention that putin came to power by murdering hundreds of his own citizens in order to start the second Chechen war, then you just don't show yourself in public as "an expert on putin".
