  1. EU is struggling to pay for their TGV high speed trains. Hyper loop would do a better job but not when they already have fast rail systems.

  2. If the tube is evacuated why does it need an aerodynamic nose and tail? The issue will be slowing down. There’s a lot of kinetic energy to remove and no air to absorb the heat. Passenger comfort? You will get pushed against seatbelts while accelerating or while decelerating. People won’t much like that.
