  1. Kirk Sorensen was a NASA engineer tasked with providing power for a moon base. Solar was useless because the lunar night lasts 14 days. Batteries won’t help too heavy. He rediscovered the Oak Ridge molten salt reactor experiment (MSRE). It would work in low or even zero gravity. Runs at high temperature (smaller) and would be launched with new fuel which is not highly radioactive. There are problems (as always) but not the stuff you’d expect. Check out his videos.
