  1. Alice says “Roman soldiers…” but to the people they were just soldiers. Government was in Rome but was that any different back then to London. Both were enormous distances away.

  3. Agatha Christie’s birthplace was demolished by Torquay council to build a collection of low cost housing. People have to live but Torquay is full of large old houses ripe for redevelopment. Oh no! It had to be this one.
