  2. There is absolutely no need for there to be a battery waste problem. Chill the cells with dry ice mash the contents and extract the valuable elements. >95% should be recoverable way cheaper than mining new material.

  4. Use molten salt reactors and the high temperature will allow manufacture of liquid fuels like ammonia. The waste heat can be used to desalinate sea water. The big danger is returning too much brine back to the sea. It has to be done in ways that wont over-saturate the local area.
