  1. My corded Makita (£55) lasted about 2 years of DIY use before the spindle lock fell apart and shattered the gearbox. The Parkside replacement (£30) has been going strong for years with a similar rate of use. I bought another when they had them in stock along with a battery version. That needs a 4AH battery. The 2AH trips on overload.
