  1.  @luisekjeldsen1515  The difference is that UK bought the weapons. USA could claim no political involvement. Before December 1941, many in USA supported Hitler because he was anti Russia. The States were highly unlikely to support UK any further. Hitler solved problem by declaring war on USA.

  2. Late 1930s were the same. Politicians like Chamberlain chose to ignore the obvious trends in Hitler’s behaviour. Then far too slowly increased military strength. Today, Biden is causing escalation by not allowing a fight-back. Chamberlain made the exact same mistake in 1937. The unintentional consequence was Hitler attacking Western Europe. He had no intention, but the whole lot was effectively gifted to him.

  3. Politics today always follows the line of least resistance. Margaret Thatcher, UK’s only true leader post WW2, was removed because she really was too good. UK is governed by managers. Chamberlain, Wilson, Heath, Major, Blair, Sunak. They are all the same. Incapable of strategic thinking.

  4. Washington is run by a bunch pathologically incapable of making decisions. They could have bypassed the government impasse but did nothing. The no attacks on Russia rule has stood right through the war. It almost certainly won’t move.
