  1.  @ericgrace9995  Royal Navy was by far the biggest in the world. Ignoring treaty agreements would give carte-blanche to everyone else to do what they liked. But secondary and Pom-Pom armaments could have been cut as they are quick to bolt on if war ever breaks out. Build the turrets and guns you need but install 1/2 of them.

  2. Yamato with super thick decks could not withstand dive bombers with armour piercing munitions. Amazing when a bomb is travelling at 250-300 mph when 15” shells are doing Mach 2 or more

  3. They could have skimped on pom-poms and even secondary armament as these could be quickly added when war breaks out.
