  1. Eight x 8 inch rockets had equivalent firepower to a County Class cruiser main gun salvo. Except the rockets were far more likely to hit the target and the delivery systems could be in many more places at once.

  2. In the unlikely event that 12 inches of deck armour could stop a Tallboy, the structure beneath would be severely crumpled and the blast would wipe out half of the upper-works.
