  1. UK has the largest onshore oil field in Western Europe at Wych Farm near Southampton. Discovered in 1973. We can be sure today’s government would never allow it to be exploited. Production peaked at 110,000 barrels per day. It’s currently at 50,000 barrels per day plus methane and LPG.
