  1. Artur Rehi thinks Ukraine positioned an S300 battery close to the border. They would have operated it in passive mode until they had an opportunity. These carry four missiles and every aircraft was hit from the front all at once. Air launch missiles could have done it but the odds are that it’s an S300.

  2. I think Ukraine made probing attacks around Bakhmut and was surprised how easily Russians rolled up and ran away. By the way, exhausted troops don’t run as their first option.
