  1. I’ve had good results with Loctite 518 anaerobic gasket replacement. It sets only when air is excluded so any excess can’t clog your oil galleries etc. it’s also easy enough to separate when needs-be. I now only use RTV when the OEM recommends- eg oil pan joints.
