  1. Welding nuts onto stuck bolts is all about putting heat into the seized threads and providing enough “glue” to unscrew the old stud. That’s it.

  2. I use a high temperature anti-seize that contains carbon, copper and other good stuff. It protected stainless into aluminum and that’s really saying something (opposite ends of the galvanic spectrum).

  3. Welding seized studs is never pretty but it works a treat for extracting the stuck fragments. I do it all the time.
