  1. Hey Ray I drove through a puddle and my engine stopped. How deep was that “puddle”? Only a foot or two honest.

  2. My car made that noise when the alternator stator had corroded and jammed the rotor. It caused the belt to slip and howl on engine start. The alternator case was cracked and gradually seizing solid. Water on the belt made it worse.
