  1. The previous dam on this site was blown up by Stalin to stop the Nazi Germans. It’s estimated this killed at least 10,000 Russian people. The new dam (“nova”) was built with pockets for explosives. It was designed to allow destruction. It’s been reported that a Russian soldier said he was part of a team tasked with carrying explosives into the dam. Russian tanks and other assets were told to move the day before the dam “collapsed”. The ordinary disposable troops were ignored. The turbine house has been up-ended but not in ways a water scour would do it.
