  1. My 70,000 mile Yamaha 900 Moho bike was used pretty hard but had oil every 6000 miles and filter every 12,000. I opened the cam cover at 75,000 to check valve clearances. The cams and bearings looked like new. Not bad for an engine that made 89 bhp at 8250 rpm and used most of those revs a lot of the time. The oil was plain ordinary 10w40 as recommended by Yamaha. I used the diesel engine spec as that helps the wet clutch. I never had any clutch slipping issues that some say will happen if you don’t use Yamaha brand (expensive) oil.
