  1. Vitamin D supports thyroid function. A person presenting with low thyroid is immediately given a very high dose of D. Some say it’s a co-hormone to thyroxine. VitaminD not only boosts the immune system it moderates it. Strong immune response is all very well but over aggressive causes auto immune disease and with a heavy viral load can lead to worse symptoms including cytokine storm. Studies showed that plaque psoriasis cleared up when high dose vitamin D was given.
