@whatisahandle_69 The British made slavery illegal in 1812 and used their navy to stop slave ships. The British built infrastructure that is still in use. Yes it was an empire but that's how things were done 200 years ago. But it was not won by trashing the countries they colonised. There would be no point. Russia simply trashes and makes slaves of it's satellite states. Ukraine shows how they operate - flatten everything, kill or deport the survivors and move your own people in. The British Empire was never like Russia is today.
