  1. Infrastructure can be protected from loitering munitions (kamikaze drones) with sports ground netting. Ballistic missiles are much harder but Ukraine stops far more than anyone could have expected.

  2. The Nordstream pipes were blown from the inside by GazProm to release them from the financial costs of failing to deliver gas to Germany. Notice how they left one line available- just in case Germany backs down.

  3. The two Russian oblasts to the east of Donetsk and Luhansk were originally part of Ukraine and the language was spoken all the way to Caspian Sea. These are now parts of Russia but Ukraine is not trying to land grab them.
