  1. the WW2 German MG42 could deliver (up to) 1200 rpm for area denial but accuracy was nothing special. The British Bren gun was far slower but could put more metal on the target. These guys (and girl) showed exactly the same point.

  2. Agreed but Bren guns did the same with less ammunition and less logistical backup. More adaptable. MG-42 was fast but hard work to keep supplied.
