  1. The author has not mentioned how the Russian top-down military is incapable of redirecting its efforts. The Tsar is told that Bakhmut is the only city worth taking. So he demands it is taken. The Tsar does not care what it costs. Any generals with the temerity to inform the Tsar that current methods won’t work have been taking long walks along small hotel balconies. Anyone with 1/2 a brain keeps cranking the same handle. Oh what a silly idea. Russian is not that stupid. Really? They are currently shelling their own small town near Belgorod. It’s what they do. Blow the F out of the place then send in the meat waves.
